We recently celebrated our wedding at Chateau Gassies, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We visited the venue a year before the wedding and instantly loved it - the Chateau is in excellent condition, with furnishings completed to a high standard and a beautiful aesthetic. The grounds are also vast and stunning, with a wonderful view of Bordeaux.
Geraldine and Ben helped us organise our wedding, and ensured this was what we had planned and that the event ran smoothly. They have a good relationship with other vendors locally which again made planning much easier for us. We are very grateful for their hard work and attention to detail to ensure that we had the best experience on the day!

"We organised our wedding at Château Gassies on the weekend of 18 May 2024. The venue is sumptuous and perfect for receiving and accommodating a large number of guests. We would like to thank Aurélie for her warm welcome, her availability and her invaluable advice. We had a magnificent wedding, a dream come true. Our guests are still talking about it. Beautiful rooms, beautiful gites, a gourmet breakfast worthy of a 5-star restaurant. We highly recommend this venue and we were all so enchanted with it that we've given our guests a date in 5 years' time to relive the magical moment we spent at Château Gassies!"

Chateau Gassies is a beautiful, thoughtfully laid out venue with excellent management. The grounds are stunning, the facilities are immaculate, and the location is very accessible to downtown Bordeaux. Stevie's responsiveness and assistance throughout the planning process and wedding weekend put us very much at ease. My husband and I got married at Chateau Gassies June 15th 2024 and we had the most magical time. The venue is like a fairytale and every guest could not stop gushing at how wonderful it was. Being from the US, it was hard to know if the venue would live up to our expectations but it far surpassed them. Everything from the breakfast area, bedrooms, pools, and the grounds were all beautiful. We loved the personal touches like champagne and cannele in the rooms to welcome us and the home made jams for breakfast. The actual reception area does not need much decoration, it is already beautiful as is which is a huge plus! We loved being able to stay with many of our guests right on site. I am also personally big on fitness and loved using the sauna and fitness room. I highly recommend anyone from the US looking for a dream wedding in France to consider this venue.

We highly recommend this venue. We chose to exchange our vows at this location for various reasons, and it delivered on all fronts. First and foremost, the château has been entirely renovated with taste and finesse. It exudes a peaceful atmosphere; the garden is simply magical, and the rooms are beautifully decorated. Both we and our guests felt as if we were living in a parallel universe during those four days. It is not just a luxurious venue; it has a soul and an atmosphere that is difficult to put into words. It’s something that must be experienced firsthand.
Second, given that most of our guests were traveling from abroad or other parts of France, we felt that the château’s location was ideal. It’s just a short car ride from the train station and the airport (roughly 30 minutes). This allowed our guests to explore Bordeaux before and after the wedding, and many chose to extend their stay in this beautiful region. In that sense, the château is perfectly located—not only is it a stunning venue, but it also sits in a wonderful part of France that embodies the heart of French culture. Several of our guests took the opportunity to explore the nearby vineyards and indulge in the many culinary specialties the region has to offer.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, organizing a wedding can be complex and stressful. The owners and staff truly love what they do and genuinely want to make your stay as perfect as possible. They took the time to ask the right questions at the right moments to ensure that everything ran smoothly and according to our wishes. You only get to experience this once, and having them by our side both before and during the wedding was incredibly reassuring. Their attention to detail and experience made all the difference.

We got married at Chateau Gassies in early July 2024. Everything from the moment we reserved the venue in Aril 2023 up until the after party on sunday night went smoothly.
Aurelie and the whole team at Gassies are very helpful at every step of the planning process and very accommodating during the whole weekend.
The venue is beautiful (pictures dont do it justice!) and just perfectly set up.
We couldnt recommend this place enough !

Having my wedding here at Chateau Gassies was the best weekend of my life. Nobody tells you about the comedown you experience after such a high, I will never have a weekend that will top my time at Chateau Gassies. The guests that came also mentioned how it was the best wedding they have ever been to. It was magical for so many reasons. Not only is the location supremely beautiful, the facilities are perfect for a magical weekend away with all your loved ones. Months on, I reminisce about it daily and would love to come back for anniversaries! My wedding day exceeded all my expectations. Take me back please!!

I would like to say the biggest thank you from my heart for making our wedding even more than I had dreamed it would be when I was planning it.
The Chateau is possibly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, from the moment you walk in every detail is genuinely perfect. Your renovation is stunning and modern yet sympathetic to its original architecture and French culture.
Yourself and Ben where the perfect hosts and made myself and Laurence feel as though we were the only guests to have held their wedding there, making sure we were happy at all times and taking the time to have lovely conversations together.
The staff at the Chateau were also incredible, everyone so welcoming and friendly at all times. Also I could appreciate their continuous hard work to keep the Chateau maintained to the highest standards.
Myself and Laurence had the wedding day of our dreams, I can’t believe it’s over but I will never forget what an amazing time of our lives it was.

A big thank you to Aurélie, with whom we prepared the event in advance and who coordinated our weekend in a very professional, attentive and reassuring manner.
The location is sublime, the rooms and services are top-of-the-range and the staff are always available throughout the weekend.
The recommended suppliers were all excellent (Deval, Tristan Perrier, LPfloraldesigner, Aurélie Cousseau, Kmusic, Savary) and worked hard to make our wedding perfect. It was a real pleasure to work with them on this event!
We were lucky enough to have perfect weather and to witness 2 marvellous sunsets with an incredible view of the city of Bordeaux facing the Cedar of Lebanon.
Our guests were equally delighted.
We couldn't have wished for a better venue to celebrate our union and hope to be able to return on a future visit."
